Sewing Lab
If you have never used a sewing machine, need a refresher sewing course, or are planning to buy yourself a machine, join CREATE for our new Sewing Lab! This ongoing lab is available to sewers ages 9 & up with a skill level from beginner to intermediate and is designed so that you may work at your own pace.
Lisa, our sewing instructor, will help you select one of our featured projects based upon your experience level. If you are interested in completing an alternative pattern, you MUST contact Lisa at least 5 days in advance of the lab.
Lab meets every Tuesday from 4-6pm &/or 630-830

Lab Details:
~You have the option of purchasing a complete supply kit from CREATE OR purchasing your own supplies. CREATE will provide you with a list of supplies to bring. You MUST let us know at the time of registration which option you prefer.
~If you have your own sewing machine, please bring it along with your manual. You may also rent one of our machines to use for an additional $5.
~Workshop meets Tuesday from 4-6pm OR 6:30-8:30pm
~$25 per session; almost a 50% savings from our private lesson rate
~Limit of 5 sewers per session; you must pre-register & pre-pay to reserve your spot
~Two hours does not guarantee a project will be completed; it will depend on the skill level of the student. Some projects will take more than one session to finish.

Learn to Sew
Call to schedule your Girl Scout Troop, Home School Class or other group
Do you have a future fashion designer in your home? Or maybe a kiddo who's just fascinated with sewing and really wants to be able to sew their own iPod case or stuffed animal? Bring them to Create for a personal sewing lesson with one of our experienced needlecrafters. We can do private lessons or you can gather a small group of kids (two or more) for a semi-private sewing session. You'll select your project ahead of time and we'll have everything set up and ready to go! If you have your own sewing machine, please bring it along with the instruction manual; if you do not, no problem; we have five machines at CREATE!
